Canby sewer rates increasing

Starting July 1, Canby residents will pay 5 percent more for sewer and stormwater service that is billed with their water and electric. A recent rate analysis recommended a 4 percent increase, but the city council at its May 2 meeting elected to impose a 5 percent increase.

Canby man dies in one-car accident near Brooks

A 22-year-old Canby man died near Brooks early Saturday morning.Oregon State Police said that David P. Forrest, 22, was northbound on Interestate-5 just after midnight Saturday morning when his car, a Nissan 350Z, drifted off the right shoulder of the freeway, plunged through a large clump of grass and struck a tree.
