The lion dance, above, is a potent symbol in Chinese culture, signifying prosperity and happiness in the new year. The Portland Lee’s Association dancers will perform at the Canby Public Library on Family Evening Thursday, Feb 23, at 6:30 p.m. to bring in the Chinese New Year.
