The biggest win of the early college football season had a Canby flavor to it.
Canby High graduate Shawn Doman played every defensive snap at inside linebacker during BYU’s 14-13 win over then No. 3 Oklahoma Saturday.

It’s was, said Doman, a memorable afternoon.

“There had been a lot of hype about this game,” he said, “a lot of pressure and talk about this game during the preseason. We knew if we worked hard and do what we needed to do, we’d have a chance to win this game.

“It was a great experience and a lot of fun,” he added.
