NEW WORK --
Joan Hibbs' new book, "The Puppy Who Wanted to Fly"
Local author and illustrator Joan Hibbs will be at the Canby Public Library Friday for the 11 a.m. Storytime.
Hibbs will read from her newest book “The Puppy Who Wanted to Fly.”
She said she was inspired to write the book by the children she met working as a mental health therapist and her own dog Sweetie, who appears as Puddy Wuddy in her book. The book is a story set on a farm where Puddy Wuddy does not give up on his heart’s desire to fly.
Hibbs’ books will be available for purchase and she will donate 50 percent of her sales to the Canby Public Library.
Canby Public Library offers a weekly Storytime every Friday at 11 a.m. through May.
