Canby High School junior pitcher Jessica Hotaling pitched 4 2/3 shutout innings, but it was not enough in Wednesday’s 3-1 loss to West Linn at Rosemont Ridge Middle School. On Monday, Hotaling threw seven scoreless innings in a 5-0 win over Lake Oswego.
The Canby softball team gets one run in the first inning, but can't muster enough offense after that in a 3-1 loss to West Linn. The Cougars, however, remained in first place in the Three Rivers League.
