Judy and Dr. Anselmo Pizutti look through a scrapbook they've kept over the years showing Canby Herald news clippings about the Canby Community Clinic. Dr. Pizutti, Canby’s first pediatrician, retired in late March after serving young Canby patients 41 years.
Canby, with a population of about 3,000, was a two-doctor town in 1970, but city visionaries knew the farming community would be growing fast in years to come.
