Vietnam memorial project getting closer To the editor: On behalf of the Vietnam Era Veterans Memorial Committee, I want to thank the Canby community for its terrific support of our bottle and can drive to finish the memorial. We have now closed the funding gap to $35,000 still needed. This is happening simply because ordinary people are saving up cans and bottles, and now and then also making out extra checks, to donate to the cause.
